Microsoft Firewall Client

Firewall Client is one of the three types of clients supporting ISA Server. Firewall Client is the optional client’s part, which you can install on any operation Windows system to provide higher safety and accessibility.

The Client provides the following improvements for Windows clients:
- authentication for all Winsock applications used TCP and UDP;
- better support for network applications including complex secondary protocols;
-supplies user and application information to the ISA Server logs.
By means of provided features you can configure automatic discovery for Firewall client computers and set automatic settings and Web browser settings on the client's computer. It give the possibility to test the availability of ISA Server and print out of Firewall client configuration settings. This enables you to create a firewall policy in the organization. You can apply the same firewall policy for all users on the Firewall client computer.
This update fixes issues introduced with ISA 2004 Service Pack 1 in the functionality of the previous version of the Firewall client tools.
